Meet the experienced and skilled
Dr. Jason Chiu is a double board-certified Pain Management Specialist and Anesthesiologist, certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He serves as the medical director of The Painless Center, which has locations in Clifton, Tenafly, and Woodbridge, New Jersey.
Dr. Chiu completed his anesthesiology residency at Rutgers University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, followed by fellowship training in pain management at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. His clinical expertise includes a wide range of minimally invasive pain procedures such as epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and percutaneous discectomy.
He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, reflecting his dedication to maintaining the highest standards of care in his field.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Chiu has held several academic and leadership positions. He previously served as the Director of the Pain Management Division and Medical Education in Anesthesiology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He currently serves as faculty at Hoboken University Medical Center, Carewell Health Medical Center, and Hudson Regional Hospital. Dr. Chiu has also been recognized in various publications, including being featured in United Airlines’ in-flight magazine as one of America’s Top Doctors.
